Quota 1
To apply in quota 1 you need to fulfill the requirement of having a qualifying examination comparable to a Danish qualifying examination and fulfill the specific entry requirements to the desired programme.
Application and answer to your application
If you have an international entry exam the deadline to apply is 15 March, also for quota 1 applicants. If you have a Danish qualifying exam the deadline to apply is 5 July. You can apply for admission through www.optagelse.dk
You will receive an answer to your application on 30 July.
Who is admitted?
The assessment in quota 1 is based on the first completed qualifying examination and the principle of descending order of grade point average (GPA). This means that applicants with the highest grade point averages are admitted until there is room for no more. The last applicant’s grade point average is the GPA cut-off, and this is first known when the entire admission process is completed on 30 July.
If you apply to a degree programme with unlimited access you are assured a student place provided you meet the admission requirements.
You cannot improve the GPA from your first qualifying examination. However, you are welcome to take supplementary courses in order to fulfill the admission requirements. The grades from your supplementary courses will not be used in the quota 1 assessment.
Bonus for early studystart
If you apply for admission to a degree programme no later than two years after the completion of your qualifying exam, the university will multiply your GPA with 1,08. In 2013 this rule will apply to applicants who have finished their qualifying exam in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Please note that the result from a GIF-examination is not multiplied. Nor are international entry qualifications that can only be assessed in quota 2 multiplied.
