Summer Supplement (Conditional Admission)
You can be considered for conditional admission provided you, by the deadline of 5 July, meet all the admission requirements except for one subjet in one level. It is important that you when you apply through www.optagelse.dk write that you expect to complete a supplementary course after 5 July.
Deadline September 5th
As soon as possible - but no later than September 5th - after completing your summer supplementary examination, you must submit documentation that you have passed it. You must send the relevant documentation to optagelse@au.dk. If you do not submit documentation, or if you do not pass the summer supplementary course, your application is rejected. Exemption is not granted for failed examinations because you must comply with all levels to get a student place.
One subject, one level
You are only allowed to supplement one subject, one level. It is important that you state very clearly in your application what you are supplementing, what level and the date of expected completion. In Denmark supplementary courses are offered by VUC. If you need to supplement abroad we advice you to contact the Studies Office to see if the supplementary course is accepted for admission purposes.
Lower priorities are cancelled
Note that your opportunity to be admitted into a lower priority programme will be annulled if you are offered condition admission. This means that if you do not pass your supplementary summer course, you will not be offered a study place in one of the lower priority programmes. Thus, you will not be offered a study place in the 2012 admissions.
You will, however, be able to apply for admission to a programme with available study places, on the same terms as everyone else. The list of available study places will be published July 30th on http://studieguide.au.dk/.
Quota 1 and Quota 2
If you apply for admission before or on March 15, you application will be assessed in both quota 1 and quota 2, if you meet the requirements for both quotas. However, in quote 2 your application will be assessed based on the results submitted no later than July 5. Therefore, you will not be able to improve on your quota 2 grade point average by taking a supplementary summer course.
